DCU 208 Engine Controller

This product is discontinued and is replaced by the DCU 208E Engine Controller.

The DCU 208 is a complete standalone engine supervision unit, without a local user interface. It can be seen as the same as the DCU 210, but without the screen interface.

The unit is typically installed in an enclosure at the engine, where there is no need for local monitoring, for instance in small/unavailable engine room situations.

A remote panel is then connected to bring command and control to the operator. This saves cost in the engine room.

Description

The DCU 208 is a complete standalone engine supervision unit, without a local user interface. It can be seen as the same as the DCU 210, but without the screen interface.

The unit is typically installed in an enclosure at the engine, where there is no need for local monitoring, for instance in small/unavailable engine room situations.

A remote panel is then connected to bring command and control to the operator. This saves cost in the engine room.

The unit is prepared for electronic engines on the standard CAN bus engine interface, and is also a boost on mechanical engines.

Modbus communication is available on RS-485 and on Ethernet as Modbus TCP, standard. A configuration file can easily be copied into the unit, semi-automatically, by inserting a USB memory stick.

In larger projects, the unit can be expanded with I/O using the built-in RIO link. There is also a module available that links in the generator values.
