The alarm list displays engine diagnostic messages in an orderly fashion. Each event can be acknowledged by the operator, who can clearly see the alarm parameter and status.
In addition to the J1939 CAN bus interface, the panel has an Ethernet port for optional connection to a RP 210 or RP 410 remote panel.
The engine’s CAN bus data is available on the Ethernet port as Modbus TCP, so the DMU 206 can also act as a J1939 CAN bus to Modbus converter.
The common alarm relay activates for all configured events in the alarm list, and the dry contacts can be used by third parties.
The 3.5mm industrial standard line-out provides optional connectivity to speaker systems for better and louder sound.
There is no special tool required. Using a login on the built-in web server, the pages are configured using different templates with instruments. Each J1939 CAN bus message is simply selected or searched for, and then connected to each instrument. The panel supports up to five such pages.
The colour touchscreen makes it very easy to operate this panel. Touch on the left or right side of the screen to access the previous or next screen. Touch the center of the screen to see a thumbnail (miniature) overview of the pages, and quickly select a page from there by touching the thumbnail.
The front panel is IP44 sealed and the glass covering the colour touchscreen is, of course, industrial grade toughened.
