The RIO 410 is an expansion module designed to allow specifiers to integrate the demanding variety of sensors and switches found today on vessels into the DCU or other ships systems.
The DCU can accept up to four RIO’s, and with 24 inputs, for switches, PT100 and 4–20mA sensors, and two off 24V outputs and 2 off relay outputs, this means each DCU can accept over 100 input/outputs utilizing the RIO 410s.

The RIO communicates with the DCU via a simple two-wire link. Each RIO 410 is easily configured from dedicated pages in the DCU Web Interface.
Each RIO is automatically configured by the DCU when connected, but using password-protected areas, each RIO 410 can be reconfigured, whether connected to a DCU or used as an independent “standalone” unit.
The RIO 410 in combination with the DCU provides the flexibility to specifiers to integrate a standard package into a variety of different applications with just the aid of an Ethernet cable and a computer with a web browser. With the ease of use, low commissioning resources, and intuitive interfaces, the RIO 410 allows technicians to easily integrate systems.
The lack of special tools required, the simple two wire connectivity, the robustness of the unit, and expandability to provide just not an engine monitoring but a vessel alarm system has proven key to the decision making process.
