Auto-Maskin announces a new dealership in Europe. MARTRON marine electronic & service GmbH is located in beautiful Haren, right on the shores of the river Ems. This dealership makes the Auto-Maskin products and services even more accessible to the marine market in Germany.
The new RP 480i Remote Panel was recently commissioned in a high-speed vessel set for South Korea, monitoring and controlling four drivelines with amazing power output. The commissioning took place at the Incat shipyard in Tasmania, Hobart, an island south of Melbourne in Australia. This quiet island with historical districts, narrow lanes, and colonial-era cottages is the backdrop for this wicked high-speed ferry build.
Auto-Maskin has clients worldwide, and has established long-lasting relationships on all continents, supplying engine controls and monitoring units in all types of vessels on the seven seas. But the big oceans are not the only maritime market. The inland waterways of Europe, with all its rivers and channels, exceed 37,000 km, providing a way of life, communication and business throughout.
Christian Radich is a landmark in Oslo when in harbour, and not many can measure themselves against her, neither in size, beauty nor qualities. But now she needed a replacement part, and we were happy to be able to help this damsel in distress. Close to 40 years ago, an over-speed safety relay from Auto-Maskin was installed in this great sailing ship. It has been performing faithfully through all these decades, but at last, it gave in and Auto-Maskin was contacted for a replacement. The SDU 404 Safety Unit was a perfect choice and was installed on short notice so that the great ship could continue its service as a training ship for aspiring sailors.

We are proud to be involved in protecting D/S Hestmanden, a steamship from 1911 that has been made into the sailing Norwegian War Sailor Museum. It has a Marine Watch LT-ONE Alarm Panel installed to alert the crew of problems that may develop into a critical situation. You can see D/S Hestmanden in a very important role in Norways most expensive movie production to date, “Krigsseileren” (“War Sailor”), a drama about the sailors of the Norwegian merchant fleet during World War II. Auto-Maskin is spreading the word, and our next stop will be in Germany at the Shipping Technics Logistics exhibition in Kalkar 27th -28th September. This is the only trade show for inland waterways, and we are really looking forward to meeting fellow branch colleagues from Germany and The Netherlands.
