Christian Radich is a landmark in Oslo when in harbour, and not many can measure themselves against her, neither in size, beauty nor qualities. But now she needed a replacement part, and we were happy to be able to help this damsel in distress.

Close to 40 years ago, an over-speed safety relay from Auto-Maskin was installed in this great sailing ship. It has been performing faithfully through all these decades, but at last, it gave in and Auto-Maskin was contacted for a replacement. The SDU 404 Safety Unit was a perfect choice and was installed on short notice so that the great ship could continue its service as a training ship for aspiring sailors.

Christian Radich is a three-mast – fully rigged ship that was built as a sail-training ship from the start with berthing for 80-90 students. Sailing ships were the usual vessels around the turn of the century and that is why the school ships were sailing ships later on.
