Significant vessels on show at the Seawork pontoons fitted with Auto-Maskin products
It is the nature of our business that we often never see the “where” and the “how” our products are installed, so it was really interesting to see a couple of examples on show at the exhibition marina. Damen had the handover of their new FCS 2710 catamaran at the show, and in the immaculate engine room, controlling the Caterpillar main engines, were cabinets and controllers made by Auto-Maskin. Designed as direct plug-in units to the whole range of Caterpillar engines, these quality units matched the impressive new vessel.
Also on show was a fast pilot vessel built by Goodchild Marine Services, fitted with Scania engines, and the custom-built panels Auto-Maskin build specifically for the range of Scania engines. The crew on board were particularly complimentary about these, finding them vastly superior to use than the old “gauge and switches” solution.
