Even though the DCU’s PLC-logic is very powerful it hasn’t changed the user-friendly setup that thousands of existing users around the world have learned to love. The automation logic is configured in the inbuilt web server and requires no installation of software or any extra tools. The Marine Pro DCU’s include I/O for this purpose out of the box, and more can be added with the modular Marine pro I/O expansion units.
With the increased complexity of modern vessels, marine engine installations often require conditional automation of auxiliary equipment, normally solved by adding relay logic or an extra PLC, and expert programming. It is the traditional way, however, this also adds unwanted cost.
The new automation-logic in the DCU’s makes these extra components redundant. It also eliminates the need for hours of special programming, further reducing the overall cost of projects.
