Recently De Ruyter, a specialist generating set builder in Holland, and Barendrecht Trading, the Auto-Maskin distributor for Benelux combined to provide the whole control system for a series of large Mitsubishi powered generating sets that will be installed into an IHC dredger early in 2018.

Using the flexibility of the DCU 410E, and the associated safety system defined by the SDU 404, the two companies were able to design and build cost effective cabinets and a control system that was fully certified and compliant to IACS requirements, including remote panels.  The generating sets were a substantial challenge for both companies, but the project was brought in on schedule and on budget for a demanding end user, due in no small part to the ease of integration, commissioning and configurability of the Marine Pro system.
