Scania’s E‑Machine is making strong headway, with Auto-Maskin’s Marine Pro delivering optimal onboard operation and remote monitoring.
French shuttle company Les Bateaux Verts, based in Sainte-Maxime on the French Riviera, is embracing a quieter and cleaner future.
Together with Scania France and Motor Head Services, the vessel Espadon III has been converted from twin conventional Scania diesel propulsion to twin Scania E‑Machines, making daily journeys smooth, quiet, and emission-free.
The new electric powertrain is controlled and monitored by two DCU 208E Engine Controller units and one RP 480i Remote Controller, supplied by Auto-Maskin.
According to the crew:
“After six months of operation, the results are striking. Nearly 300 liters of diesel are saved every day since the vessel returned to service. The crew and passengers are delighted with the significantly quieter, emission-free environment and the high quality of the installation, which has required no unscheduled service calls or operational issues.”
Auto-Maskin appreciates the trust placed in us and congratulates all parties involved in delivering a safe, clean, and predictable operation.
