Distributor Training in SE Asia

As part of its commitment to the on-going training and excellence of its distribution network, Auto-Maskin held a 4 day training course for 18 reperesentatives of its Distribution network for Sales Management and Technicians on the latest MarinePro product line and applications.

With representatives from all over the SE Asia region including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Phillipines and Thailand, Barcol Air (SE Asia), Lido Marine (China), and EJ Electrical (Australia) personnel found themselves immersed in a demanding enviroment where high levels of interaction and learning were present. 

Johan Laake, the lead trainer from Auto-Maskin in Norway commented, "Despite the very intensive nature of the course, the members of our new extended team were highly motivated, and were just as demanding of us, the training team, as we were of them!" He added "We had a broad spectrum of skill sets within the group, which provided great insight as we moved through several areas of training including Sales, Application, Basic Trouble shooting and advanced Trouble shooting and Communication protocols."

As well as providing the required training to allow the team to understand, apply and service the whole range of Auto-Maskin equipment, it also provided a valuable networking opportunity between the regions involved. Xi Yi Chen, the principle from the Chinese distributor Lido Marine was very clear that this was an important aspect of the event. "The amount of cross trading that takes place between the SE Asia and China regions is incredible. By knowing who is on the other end of the phone and being able to share experiences, as a team we are better able to support our mutual customers across the whole region, not only in our specific territories, and the reality is Marine is now a Global business, not even regional, so this type of communication really helps".
